KINDERGARTEN

Four Forest's Early Years department is our 1st Kindergarten. It is here that young children are given their all-important introduction to learning. We provide a caring, happy and stimulating environment in which every child matters. We believe that every child has the right to an individual and high-quality education that encourages our children to become life-long learners.

Our 1st Kindergarten provides children from the age of three years an effective introduction to concepts which are central to successful learning, without subjecting the children to any feeling of pressure.

Play is the language of childhood and is an essential tool. In a carefully planned setting, this tool is used to teach children how to learn, how to find things out, how to turn interests into knowledge and how to fully develop their natural aptitude for learning.

Primary School

Four Forest offers a full-time primary school programme. Our unique bilingual approach to education involves our students being taught one week in English and one week in German. Following Swiss Curriculum 21, but with the inclusion of the British National Curriculum when teaching the English language, our students are immersed in each language on alternating weeks. Classes are led by qualified and experienced teachers, who teach in their mother tongue.
This curriculum design affords students a range of opportunities following primary school, including possible Gymnasium entry (grade-dependent), moving on to Secondary school or pursuing international pathways.

Secondary School

Following the completion of Grade 6, our Secondary school offers a three year programme, covering Secondary 1, Secondary 2 and Secondary 3. As students enter this phase of their education, we assist and support them as they embark on a journey of discovery, developing the skills they need to thrive in today’s world.
Our Secondary School follows Swiss Curriculum 21 and whilst most classes are in German, some classes are offered in English. This allows each student to experience the richness of learning in two languages, preparing them to think globally and act locally.
We help each of our students find their perfect pathway - whether that is heading towards short-term Gymnasium or moving on to an apprenticeship.
