Four Forest is a reputable private day school offering a high-quality bilingual education in the heart of Switzerland. Following the curricula of the cantons of Lucerne and Zug, and incorporating the British National Curriculum for the English language, teaching is delivered equally in German and English.
From day one, your child is immersed in a uniquely bilingual education, with one week taught entirely in German and the following week in English, creating a richness and wealth of opportunity in their school life and beyond.

Located in the heart of Switzerland
With campuses in Lucerne and Zug, Four Forest provides education from Pre-School (from age 3) and Kindergarten through Primary and Lower Secondary school.
Our school in Lucerne can be found in a beautiful location on the world-famous Rotsee in the city of Lucerne, whilst our campus in Zug is centrally located between Zug, Steinhausen, Cham and Hünenberg and offers wonderful views of the central Swiss Alps.
EXTRA CURRICULAR & CLUBS
Activities beyond the classroom
Children have the opportunity to visit our after school club where supervised play and various activities are offered every day from 3.15pm until 6.00pm. Supervision in the after school club is flexible and parents can enrol their child on a daily basis.
A wide range of extra-curricular activities are available within the framework of the after school club, including ball skills, Robotics, extra language classes and drama (activities may vary depending on the school campus). Children can further develop their artistic talent in the art and craft sessions. In addition, individual music lessons are offered (including piano) and from Grade 1, children may join our Homework Club after school on specified days.

#FourForestZugSpotlight 1KG Spring Walk to the Lake 🌿
Spring learning came to life for 1KG today during a sunny walk to the lake.
Along the way, the children observed nature closely, spotting caterpillars gathered in webs on the bushes, listening to birds, and looking for insects along the path. At the lake, they watched ducks and ducklings swimming in the water.
It was a beautiful opportunity to slow down, notice the small details of spring, and learn more about plants, animals, and wildlife through real outdoor exploration.

Heute wurde der Frühling für die 1KG bei einem sonnigen Spaziergang zum See lebendig.
Unterwegs beobachteten die Kinder die Natur ganz genau. Sie entdeckten Raupen, die sich in Netzen auf den Büschen gesammelt hatten, hörten den Vögeln zu und suchten entlang des Weges nach Insekten. Am See beobachteten sie Enten und Entenküken im Wasser.
Es war eine schöne Gelegenheit, die kleinen Details des Frühlings wahrzunehmen und durch echte Erfahrungen draussen mehr über Pflanzen, Tiere und die Tierwelt zu lernen.

Students at Four Forest Luzern enjoyed their Celebration of Art Vernissage, inspired by the theme We connect to nature through art.
They created pieces through drawing, printing, painting, collage, and digital tools, exploring a wide range of techniques and ideas. Each artwork reflected the creativity and skills of every child.
During the Vernissage, students also created new pieces inspired by still life displays, while families joined to share time together through art and creativity.

Recently, our Preschool class from Four Forest Zug spent a sunny morning at the LUGA in Lucerne.

Etwas verändert sich, wenn Kinder aus ihrem gewohnten Schulalltag herausgehen und Zeit auf diese Weise miteinander verbringen 🌿
Während des Osterferienprogramms erlebten Kinder im Alter von 3 bis 9 Jahren eine Woche mit Outdoor-Aktivitäten, kreativen Projekten und gemeinsamen Momenten, die sich vom normalen Schulalltag unterschieden.

Von Zeit im Wald bis zur Gestaltung eines neuen Bereichs im Schulgarten entstanden einfache Momente, die bleiben.

#FourForestLuzernSpotlight Climbing Skills in Action at Indoor Pilatus 🧗
Our Grade 4 students have been visiting Indoor Pilatus, where they have been developing their climbing and belaying skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Along the way, they have built confidence in communication, teamwork and encouraging one another. Each climb brought new challenges and opportunities to grow.
This experience also connects with their NMG unit on weather, helping students understand the importance of being prepared for outdoor activities in different conditions.
Most importantly, it has been a lot of fun.

Klettererfahrungen am Indoor Pilatus 🧗
Unsere Schülerinnen und Schüler der 4. Klasse besuchen regelmässig das Indoor Pilatus, wo sie ihre Kletter- und Sicherungstechniken in einer sicheren Umgebung entwickeln.
Dabei stärken sie ihre Kommunikation, Teamarbeit und unterstützen sich gegenseitig. Jede Route bringt neue Herausforderungen und Lernmomente.
Die Erfahrung steht im Zusammenhang mit dem NMG-Unterricht zum Thema Wetter und zeigt, wie wichtig Vorbereitung für Aktivitäten im Freien ist.
Und vor allem macht es grossen Spass.

The whole school stepped out of the classroom and into Meggen for a day that felt simple, but meaningful. Students followed different routes depending on their level, moving at their own pace while heading towards the same meeting point.
There were moments of effort, pauses to reset, and small conversations along the way. The kind that happen naturally when you walk side by side and have time.
When everyone came together, there was a strong sense of connection across year groups. Students shared space, food, and energy after spending the day outdoors.

Die ganze Schule hat das Klassenzimmer verlassen und ist nach Meggen gegangen – für einen Tag, der sich einfach angefühlt hat, aber viel bedeutet hat. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler folgten unterschiedlichen Routen, je nach Alter und Niveau, und bewegten sich in ihrem eigenen Tempo zum gleichen Treffpunkt.
Unterwegs gab es Momente der Anstrengung, kurze Pausen und viele kleine Gespräche. Genau die, die entstehen, wenn man nebeneinander geht und Zeit hat.
Als alle zusammenkamen, war ein starkes Gemeinschaftsgefühl spürbar. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler teilten Raum, Essen und Energie nach einem Tag im Freien.
