Four Forest is a reputable private day school offering a high-quality bilingual education in the heart of Switzerland. Following the curricula of the cantons of Lucerne and Zug, and incorporating the British National Curriculum for the English language, teaching is delivered equally in German and English.
From day one, your child is immersed in a uniquely bilingual education, with one week taught entirely in German and the following week in English, creating a richness and wealth of opportunity in their school life and beyond.

Located in the heart of Switzerland
With campuses in Lucerne and Zug, Four Forest provides education from Pre-School (from age 3) and Kindergarten through Primary and Lower Secondary school.
Our school in Lucerne can be found in a beautiful location on the world-famous Rotsee in the city of Lucerne, whilst our campus in Zug is centrally located between Zug, Steinhausen, Cham and Hünenberg and offers wonderful views of the central Swiss Alps.
EXTRA CURRICULAR & CLUBS
Activities beyond the classroom
Children have the opportunity to visit our after school club where supervised play and various activities are offered every day from 3.15pm until 6.00pm. Supervision in the after school club is flexible and parents can enrol their child on a daily basis.
A wide range of extra-curricular activities are available within the framework of the after school club, including ball skills, Robotics, extra language classes and drama (activities may vary depending on the school campus). Children can further develop their artistic talent in the art and craft sessions. In addition, individual music lessons are offered (including piano) and from Grade 1, children may join our Homework Club after school on specified days.

#FourForestLuzernSpotlight Reading Brings Us Together ✨📚
Today, we celebrated the magic of stories in grade 1 and 2 and the joy of getting lost in imaginary worlds! Our students explored new adventures, exchanged books in English and German, and connected with friends over shared love of reading.
The fun didn`t stop there! Children unleashed their creativity through:
🎨 Creating digital stories
🏘️ Building a story town by drawing character houses
⛓️ Making story chains – each child adding their own twist to the tale
🎭 Sculpting story characters from playdough
🔍 Drawing imaginary worlds through a magical keyhole
A huge thank you to our amazing parents who brought this event to life – running our delicious Starbooks Café and joining in the reading activities alongside our students. This community celebration truly showed us that reading is best when shared!

Lesen verbindet uns ✨📚

Ein grosses Dankeschoen an unsere grossartigen Eltern, die diese Veranstaltung zum Leben erweckt haben – mit unserem koestlichen Starbooks Café und durch ihre aktive Teilnahme an den Leseaktivitaeten gemeinsam mit den Kindern. Diese gemeinschaftliche Feier hat gezeigt: Lesen macht am meisten Freude, wenn man es teilt!

#FourForestZugSpotlight | 🌫️ Learning on the Move: A Foggy Day in Zug
Our 1KG class took a foggy day trip to Zug, travelling by bus and returning by train. Wrapped up warm, the children practised real-life travel skills — hailing the bus, checking numbers, watching stops, and comparing different forms of transport.
By the lake, the misty views and the sight of deer eating discarded Christmas trees sparked curiosity, questions, and great conversations. A calm day full of observation, movement, and learning beyond the classroom.

🌫️ Unterwegs lernen: Ein nebliger Tag in Zug
Die Klasse 1KG unternahm einen Ausflug nach Zug, fuhr mit dem Bus hin und kehrte mit dem Zug zurück. Gut eingepackt übten die Kinder alltagsnahe Fähigkeiten wie das Anhalten des Busses, das Überprüfen der Busnummern und das Beobachten der Haltestellen.
Am See regten der Nebel und die Beobachtung von Rehen, die alte Weihnachtsbäume frassen, viele Gespräche an. Ein ruhiger Tag voller Entdeckungen, Vergleiche und Lernen in Bewegung.

🌍 Young Interpreters Making an Impact! 🌍
We were delighted when our Young Interpreters from Four Forest Luzern were invited to Four Forest Zug on Thursday to share their journey and experiences.
Our student ambassadors spoke with enthusiasm about what it means to be a Young Interpreter: welcoming new students, helping them find their way around school, supporting communication in class and during break times, and helping visitors and parents feel at home within our community.
They also shared reflections from their training, where they learned how to communicate across languages, work together to solve problems, and recognise the value of speaking more than one language.
Being a Young Interpreter means:

✨ Connecting students and parents through shared languages
✨ Building friendships across year groups
✨ Celebrating different languages and cultures
✨ Being a positive role model within the school community

🌍 Schüler-Dolmetscher:innen machen einen Unterschied! 🌍
Wir freuten uns sehr, als unsere Schüler-Dolmetscher:innen vom Four Forest Luzern Campus nach Four Forest Zug eingeladen wurden, um am Donnerstag ihre Erfahrungen zu teilen.
Unsere Schüler-Botschafter:innen erklärten mit grossem Engagement, was es bedeutet, Schüler-Dolmetscher:in zu sein: neue Schüler:innen willkommen zu heissen, sie im Schulalltag zu unterstützen, die Kommunikation im Unterricht und in den Pausen zu erleichtern sowie Besucher:innen und Eltern zu begleiten.
Sie berichteten auch von ihrer Schulung, in der sie lernten, über Sprachen hinweg zu kommunizieren, gemeinsam Lösungen zu finden und Mehrsprachigkeit wertzuschätzen.
