AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB AND ACTIVITIES

Children have the opportunity to visit our after-school club where supervised play and various activities are offered every day from 3.15pm until 6.00pm. Supervision in the after-school club is flexible and parents can enrol their child on a daily basis.

After school there is also a wide range of activities and courses within the framework of the after school club, such as chess, singing, drama, Chinese or they may develop their artistic talent in the art and craft session. Individual music lessons are also offered and the children receive a 30 or 40-minute lesson on the instrument of their choice. Homework can be done during this time in the homework club.

For more information on each of these activities please click on the corresponding button below or contact school management. To apply for a course please return an application form Luzern or an application form Zug to the school administration. The costs for all after-school activities and supervision during the after-school club are not included in the school fees.

Homework Club

Qualified and experienced teachers guide and support your child through their homework assignments. This service supports working parents and those unfamiliar with English and/or German languages.

If your child would like to join the homework club, please contact the school in either Luzern or Zug.

Chess

Chess club offers a one hour weekly lesson where children learn the most strategic moves in this fascinating game while practising problem-solving and reasoning skills. Children already familiar with the game will enhance and challenge their skills.

Football

In football training boys and girls alike learn ball control, endurance, coordination, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Dance

All children are natural movers. Mini movers and Mini Ballerina classes are the ideal way to introduce children to the world of creative movement, dance, music & rhythm, singing and sensory play. Each class is specially tailored to enhance individual creativity, motoric ability and confidence in a fun, nurturing environment. We use an assortment of colourful and multi-textured props to inspire the children’s imaginations.

Kids Yoga

Yoga can be incredibly valuable for children. Yoga teaches children perseverance and patience. It develops focus, concentration and boosts their self-esteem. Introducing children to yoga at an early age can help them learn and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle..

Chinese

Looking at China’s economic development, learning the Chinese language would certainly be a good investment. Chinese classes are taught by experienced teachers, who teach in their mother tongue.

Creative writing

In this creative and fun course, children learn how to express thoughts, feelings and emotions in a creative or poetic way, rather than writing to simply convey information.

Drama

The Drama workshop provides a safe environment for children to explore situations, roles and relationships derived from real and imaginary life. Drama provides children with the opportunity to develop a range of skills such as movement, mime, improvisation, play building, scriptwriting and public speaking. The ability to communicate is vital at all ages and never more so than later in adult life. An enjoyable early start in this area can develop confidence for years to come.

Song & Dance

This is an exciting fusion of dance and singing. Children learn to sing and dance to their favourite tunes. The classes are taught by a qualified Royal Academy of Dance teacher. Various classes are designed for children aged 3-6 years, 6-8 years and 9-13 years.
